In 1919 the Hollywood Bowl opened in the chaparral of the Hollywood Hills and today, is the largest natural outdoor amphitheater in the United States, with 18,000 seats. The curved, gradual uphill progression of the amphitheater’s seats mirror the shape of the bowl to create a fuller acoustic sound and comfortable environment. This beautifully worn wood has the minimalist-vintage gray patina from sitting in the LA sun for a couple of decades. This modernly urban yet warm cedar originated from Alaska, vacationed in LA and soon will be retiring in your next project.
