Hollywood Park Douglas Fir

History

Hollywood Park Douglas Fir
Hollywood Park Douglas Fir

Hollywood Park opened its doors on June 10, 1938 and soon became one of the most important thoroughbred racing venues in the country. Toward the latter half of the 20th century, attendance at the Park began to drop significantly causing the track to close its doors in the fall of 2013. In an effort to preserve the Park’s history, the wood beams that supported the stands were saved during the demolition. Mission Bell acquired these rustic wood beams and are making them available for the next architectural project looking to source Reclaimed Wood with a unique story.
